At the site of Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s memorial well, Wells of Life staff was approached by Nmakla, a 10 year old student attending the primary school. Nmakla approached our staff and delivered us a thank you letter, in which she explained the troubles girls in the community faced.

“My name is Nmakla Prescovia, on behalf of girls and children in this community, I would like to send my appreciation to the Orange Catholic Foundation for the donation of a [well] you have given us and in memory of Kobe Bryant and Gianna. As girls, we face many problems while fetching water. Such as some girls, some girls get trapped, and others lose their lives. But because of this donation, my dreams of becoming a doctor will not be killed. Thank you OCF for the donation you have given to us and in memory of Kobe and Gianna, may your souls rest in peace. Thank you Wells of Life for all the work you have done!”
