The 2nd Well drilled by Wells of Life cost us a song. To be more exact four Irish songs delivered at the home of Edward and Dottie McCrink in Rancho Santa Fe, California. A series of events transpired that led to me being requested to deputize for an Irish tenor who was unable to perform due to a scheduling conflict.
Despite a very real lack of experience I reluctantly agreed to entertain the McCrink family, who were gathered to celebrate the 50th Wedding anniversary of Edward and Dottie McCrink. As I was leaving their home Dottie pulled me aside and slipped a check into my hand to thank me for bringing a little part of Ireland into their home that afternoon. This check funded three wells dedicated to the McCrink Family. Several years have now passed since our 2nd well was drilled and both Mr and Mrs McCrink have passed on to their eternal reward. What remains are the joyous voices at the wells those few songs funded. What a beautiful way to be remembered. The McCrinks achieved a lot of success during their long lives. But very little of what they did, achieved or built made as profound or long lasting difference as Well #2 which I'm delighted to present as this weeks featured well.
